In this new age, people at work are getting more competitive. In order to survive and to succeed in this fast-paced business environment, one must be productive, efficient and know how to multitask. Here are some tips that you may find useful in maximizing your full potential:

* Eat a balanced diet. Splurge your body with antioxidants by eating foods rich in vitamin A,B,C and E. These foods are known to help prevent cancer and other deadly diseases. Remember, a healthy person is a healthy employee.
* Get plenty of sleep. Sleep means in your bedroom and not sleeping at work. 8 hours of sleep will rest your brain and boost your energy.

* Exercise your body. 30 minutes of walking at least three (3) times a week before going to work or after work is a healthy regimen. Most employees spend inactive eight hours just sitting in front of their computers. Working individuals should always include exercise in their schedules. Studies have shown that employees who exercise regularly are more productive and alert at work.

* Exercise your brain. Employees doing clerical jobs or jobs that require less thinking must find ways to stimulate their brain to achieve mental alertness. Reading books about mental challenges, crossword puzzles, etc are some examples. But remember; do not do these things during office hours. It is advisable that you do these mental exercises at home or during break times.

And finally, be happy and optimistic about your work, your life and yourself. A satisfied and happy person is a happy and productive employee.

In Pakistan, 85% gold is used for jewelery. More than 70% consumers are khavateen. Life will become so easy if they abandon the use.

Just came across this beautiful piece about the lovely city Abbottabad by its founder. I also spent 6 golden years of my life in a boarding school called Abbottabad Public School. It was “& College” too then. It’s still from 7th till 12th grade; perhaps they just removed the word ‘College’ because it actually means higher grade than the 12th, abroad. I will talk about APS&C later in detail insha Allah & post the fresh pictures too, I found online today. I have been spending the last 7/8 hours in 1994-2000 & intend to spend few more while reading things by old abbottonians on http://www.abbottonians.org. My feelings’ been similar but same to the below as we saw the populated Abbottabad. Hence less snow & all…. I haven’t read a more beautiful tribute to a place than this.

I remember the day when
I first came here
And smelt the sweet Abbottabad air
The trees and the ground
covered with snow
Gave us indeed a brilliant show
To me the place seemed like a dream
And far ran a lonesome stream
The wind hissed as if welcoming us
The pines swayed creating a lot of fuss
And the tiny cuckoos sang it away
A song very melodious and gay
I adored the place from the first sight
And was happy that my coming
here was right
And eight good years have passed very soon
And we leave you perhaps on a sunny noon
Oh! Abbottabad we are leaving you now
To your natural beauty do I bow
Perhaps your winds will never
reach my ears
My gift for you is sad tears
I bid you farewell with a heavy heart
Never from my mind will
your memories thwart
